Vatos Racing

Vatos Racing’s inaugural race on August 17, 2012 at the Paju Speedpark (about an hour and half drive out of Seoul, South Korea). Peter Cull, Patrick Miles, Eugene Blake, and James Hillier donned Vatos Racing’s colors and competed in KSEF’s grueling 5 hour endurance race in 100+ degree heat.  Despite being plagued by several mechanical failures and competing against professional riders, Vatos Racing triumphantly completed the endurance race in 6th place.

Waves

Something a bit more abstract. The picture below is part of a wall that over looks a bridge. I took the photo while it was raining and the running water added some nice texture to the surface.

Wise Charity Concert Part 2

A few more images from Sunday’s concert.

Wise Education Charity Concert 2011

Wise Education Charity Concert was a fund raising concert sponsored by Wise Education with live performances by its students and special guest saxophonist Danny Jung. The proceeds from the concert will help educate underprivileged children  in Africa and the Philippines through the non-profit organizations EAC (Educate A Child) and Go!Mawali.

I really wanted the quality of the photographs to match all the hard work, time and effort the students and sponsors put into the concert so instead of using my trusty Nikon D300 I decided to rent a Nikon D700 and the Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR II. I knew I wanted something that excelled at low light photography and the D700 along with the Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm VRII did not disappoint.

Here are just a few of the photos taken at the event.

Namdaemun Market

A few shots taken at Namademun Market, a traditional market place located in the center of Seoul, South Korea.

Street Photography

I’m a complete newbie when it comes to street photography but I think this shot came out alright.
