Another photo of Oviatt Library taken on the same day as the previous post but in almost completely contrasting condition. This one was shot at noon which normally is a big “no no”  and  the emphasis on sky instead of the lawn.

Oviatt Library

Oviatt Library at Californiat State University Northridge. The library may look familiar to many who have never visited the campus because it is featured in many Hollywood films and television series such the most recent Star Trek movie where it portrayed as Star Fleet Academy.

Wise Charity Concert Part 2

A few more images from Sunday’s concert.

Wise Education Charity Concert 2011

Wise Education Charity Concert was a fund raising concert sponsored by Wise Education with live performances by its students and special guest saxophonist Danny Jung. The proceeds from the concert will help educate underprivileged children  in Africa and the Philippines through the non-profit organizations EAC (Educate A Child) and Go!Mawali.

I really wanted the quality of the photographs to match all the hard work, time and effort the students and sponsors put into the concert so instead of using my trusty Nikon D300 I decided to rent a Nikon D700 and the Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR II. I knew I wanted something that excelled at low light photography and the D700 along with the Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm VRII did not disappoint.

Here are just a few of the photos taken at the event.

Namdaemun Market

A few shots taken at Namademun Market, a traditional market place located in the center of Seoul, South Korea.

Street Photography

I’m a complete newbie when it comes to street photography but I think this shot came out alright.
